Privacy Policy

1. Collection and use of personal data: Spotcity collects personal data to provide the user with location and notification features. The user's GPS data is used to determine the user's location in the city, thus enabling the user to discover new places. The application does not store the user's location data in a real-time database. In addition, the app collects the user's step statistics data via Google Fit. This data is used to improve the app's features, such as walking challenges and rewards for reaching walking goals. Finally, Spotcity collects the user's Google ID as well as the nickname they choose when they first log in. This data is used to allow the user to access the application and use all its features.


2. Sharing of personal data: Spotcity does not share user's personal data with third parties, except for Google Firebase and Google Analytics. These two services are used to monitor the normal operation of the application and observe user behavior within the application. The data collected is anonymous and does not identify users individually.


3. Protection of personal data: Spotcity takes appropriate security measures to protect the user's personal data from unauthorized use, loss or access. These measures include limiting access to personal data, regularly monitoring security systems and implementing data backup procedures. Personal data is stored on secure servers and is processed in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
   Spotcity use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.


4. Users' rights: The user has the right to access, rectify, delete or limit the use of his personal data. He may also request Spotcity to delete his account and all associated personal data. To exercise these rights, the user may contact Spotcity via the e-mail address provided in the application. Spotcity undertakes to respond to the user's requests as soon as possible and in accordance with the regulations in force concerning the protection of personal data.


5. Privacy Policy Changes: Spotcity reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time. Users will be notified of any changes by a notification in the application or by e-mail, if they have provided a valid e-mail address. Changes to the privacy policy will only apply to data collected after the effective date of the new privacy policy. Users are encouraged to review the Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed of any changes.
